Hours
of Operation: The
centre is open Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 9.00am – 4.30pm.
The centre is closed on a Thursday to service users but most training is
carried out on a Thursday.
Day Centre
Providing a variety of activities
within the centre and within the community with the support of staff. Activities are person centred planned, meeting the individual
needs of the person.
Craft
Workshop
Providing woodwork opportunities for those people interested in learning woodworking, making a variety of items – doll houses, garages, garden furniture, book cases, items for schools and nurseries etc.
Meets on a Monday evening and is for children aged 5 – 16 who have epilepsy and or associated problems. We also encourage friends and siblings to attend to promote inclusion and integration.

Also
meet on a Monday evening at Bloom House giving support to each other,
information sharing.
Epilepsy
Support Group
Meet in St.John’s Hospital on the first Tuesday of the month. This group is for people with epilepsy and or their carers’. The outreach worker from the centre facilitates the group.
Education/Training
Training in epilepsy awareness and administration of rectal diazepam is run within the centre. These courses can be accessed by anyone who is directly or indirectly involved with someone who has epilepsy. Training is given to non-medical care staff who are required to give medication and management of seizures.
This service is available as one to one support or in a group and can be accessed by telephone, letter, email or in person.
A loan facility is available for books, CD-ROMS, leaflets, cassette tapes, videos. Information can be made available in different formats and an interpretation service is available on request.
Both these rooms are used by the centre staff and users but are available for hire to other agencies. Contact us by clicking here
